Numerical investigation of the hybrid reinforced concrete beam using GFRP bars

Abstract The numerical study of the hybrid reinforced concrete beam using GFRP bars has been explored in this research. Finite element software ABAQUS had used for investigation. In present research, use as a replacement to steel reinforcing longitudinal reinforcement is attempted. Further, RC by and rebars transverse compared with conventional beam. beams are tested three-point bending simulation under displacement control. By performing modelling, load, strain data attained. output data, stress-strain curves concrete, load versus variations tension deflection plotted. stresses, deflections, developed bars, carrying capacity, energy absorption then calculated compared. From results it observed that, capacity decreases 16% increases 29% when replaced bars.
